Concept Description:

Exhale captures the intimate moment of release that follows emotional surrender - the instant we soften, reconnect, and offer ourselves back to the world. Suspended between relief and desire, the work evokes the sensation of exhaling deeply after holding too much for too long: a gesture of liberation, sensuality, and human connection.

The partially abstracted face appears caught between dream and awakening - eyes closed, mouth open, suspended in a moment that feels both deeply personal and universal. Through contrast between softness and darkness, refinement and instinct, the painting explores the emotional freedom found in vulnerability and presence.

Artistic Intent:
A visual invocation of this feeling of quiet comfort that eases pain or turmoil, even if the situation itself hasn’t changed at all. It's just within us.
